Privacy Policy
Updated November 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how S9FT TECH ("we", "us") handles information when you use the Uplofty desktop app (the "App") and the website uplofty.app.
1. Summary
- Your photos and videos are uploaded directly from your computer to your own Google Photos account. They are never sent to, stored on, or viewed by our servers.
- The App asks Google for one permission only: to add photos and videos to your Google Photos library. It cannot read, download, change or delete what is already in your library.
- Your Google sign-in token is stored only on your computer, in the operating system's credential store.
- We do not sell your information.
2. Google user data the App accesses
When you sign in with Google, the App requests the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/photoslibrary.appendonly ("Add to your Google Photos library"). The App uses it only to:
- upload the photos and videos in the folders you choose to back up;
- create albums for those uploads (for example, an album named after the folder) and add the uploaded items to them.
Google returns identifiers for the uploaded items and the albums the App creates. The App keeps these identifiers on your computer so it does not upload the same file twice and can keep adding to the same album. The App does not request access to your email address, contacts, or any other Google data.
3. How Google user data is stored and shared
- Sign-in token: stored on your device in Windows Credential Manager (or the macOS Keychain). It is not sent to us and is removed when you sign out in the App.
- Upload records: the list of files already uploaded (file path, size, modification time) together with the Google item and album identifiers, stored in a local database on your device. It is not sent to us.
- Your photos and videos: sent only from your computer to Google over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
We do not transfer Google user data to anyone, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. No person at S9FT TECH reads your Google user data.
4. Limited Use
Uplofty's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Other information
- App settings (chosen folders, album options, language) are stored on your device.
- Log files are written on your device to help troubleshoot problems. Sign-in and upload tokens are removed from logs. Logs are sent to us only if you choose to attach them to a support request.
- Billing: if you buy a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your plan status and a Stripe customer reference; we never see your full card details.
- Website: uplofty.app is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site. The website does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
6. Your choices
- Sign out in the App to delete the stored token from your device.
- Revoke Uplofty's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Uninstalling the App and deleting its data folder removes the local upload records and settings.
- Photos already uploaded remain in your Google Photos account until you delete them there.
- For any request about data we hold (for example billing records), email support@uplofty.app.
7. Retention
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it. Billing records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you.
8. Children
Uplofty is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If a change affects how Google user data is used, we will ask for your consent in the App before it applies.
